Acer Aspire One – the mini for teens

Just because the mini-notebooks have a small size does not mean it’s for kids. The Acer Aspire One does have a has a smaller compact size and smaller keyboard. Don’t let the size fool you. The One is a full notebook: it has 1 GB of RAM, a 160 GB hard drive, wireless Internet capability, even a Web cam. However, the processor power and video capabilities are not great for graphics intense programs such as games–including educational games on CD or video.

The strength of the Acer Aspire One mini laptop lies in being very mobile and making Internet access easy anywhere. This mini notebook is small than a sheet of looseleaf paper and weighs about 2 pounds. Obviously it is very easy to carry, even in a purse or backpack. This makes this a better choice for teens who are mobile and may do work from the library or school as well as home, but don’t need a computer for major gaming.
